Terms and Service
I will always [attempt to] be understanding, friendly, and professional with my online commissioners, just as I would with any offline. The commissions will be put above most other work, prioritized over personal artwork or otherwise less-important pieces. They are of the highest quality I can make possible (for that type of commission) and will typically have just as much (or more) effort put into them as works that aren't commissions. My timeline for "finishing" a piece can range from a week to a couple months. Please be patient, as I will update commissioners as much as possible.
What I Will and Won't Draw:
Will draw: humans, humanoids, anthros, animals, creatures, sfw images, complex characters, artistic nudity
Won’t draw: nsfw images (yiff, sex, porn, etc.), fetishes, mecha
I retain the right to refuse any commission if I feel I cannot draw the material up to [my] standards or am uncomfortable with the request.
Ordering:
As soon as I’ve accepted your commission email or note me with the following information:
1. the type of commission you ordered (e.g.: sketch, full piece, icon, etc.)
2. visual references (via [working!] links or attachments)
3. anything relevant to the image that you want included (e.g.: pose(s), emotions, background, props, etc.)
4. your name and paypal address (for my records)
((just go to the "Contact" page and there will be more information on ordering!))
Payment:
I require payment in full before starting the commission, but if it is a pricier commission ($100+), you may pay in installments. I prefer payment through Paypal [via invoice or "goods and services" option] , but I will also accept payment via cash (I do not accept Deviantart points or other forms of virtual currency). If you send your payment through the mail, I am not responsible if it gets lost (meaning if the money doesn't get to me, I won't do the commission). I will not start the commission until payment is received, either way (it is recommended to add a tracker to the package). I highly recommend Paypal, as there is no risk of payment getting lost.
If you prefer to pay half before, half after on larger commissions (over $50), then let me know, and we’ll set it up so you pay before I start and after I’ve finished but haven’t revealed the final image to you.
NOTE TO USERS OF PAYPAL: If not using the invoice method, be sure to select "goods and services" and "no address needed" when you send money. Sending a shipping address with your payment means I have to provide proof of shipment, and since these transactions are strictly digital, paypal'll think I'm cheating you! Also, though "goods and services" takes a small percentage of the payment I receive, paypal also freezes accounts who receive too many "gift" payments, since it's considered fraud.
Progress Shots:
If you wish to receive progress reports or WIP versions of the image while I work on it, do let me know.
I can revise things at certain stages in the WIP, if you ask to see them, but after the image is done, revisions will be limited.
Extensive revisions will cost extra. I will change an image up to two times for free (as long as it's at a stage wherein I can make changes without having to do extensive editing).
Revisions:
My different commission types have different stages and revision opportunities, which I will explain to you before and/or during the commission process. For most commission types, I begin with a rough sketch. At the rough sketch stage, you may ask for virtually unlimited changes, including up to three complete redraws if you are unhappy with the pose. I can usually make small, reasonable changes throughout the rest of the commission unless I tell you otherwise. Please do not hesitate to ask for changes; it will not offend or irritate me, but please ask for changes at the appropriate stages. For instance, if you are unhappy with the pose I come up with, ask me to rework it when you first see it (at the rough sketch stage) rather than at the final sketch or coloring stage. Once you approve each stage, asking for changes from a previous stage (for instance, asking me to rework the pose once I have started the coloring) will cost extra depending on how much work it requires. The earlier you ask for a change, the less work it will require.
For large pieces (with backgrounds) I can offer to show you thumbnail drawings that you may choose from for your final piece's composition.
Completion Time:
I may work on a few commissions at a time, roughly in the order they were paid for, and could start the day I receive payment. Uncolored and Colored Sketch commissions with one character are usually completed within a week. Digitally Lined and Colored commissions with one character may take a couple weeks. The more characters in the picture, the longer it will take me. I will let you know if there's something that might keep me from doing your commission as quickly as planned (e.g. something like midterms week or having a big project due).
I have a part time job and (when it's in session) college courses to attend to, so don't expect a commission to come up right away! It may take me only a few hours to do a piece, but I have to find the time to do it, first! Thus, I suggest you don't ask me for a commission on a deadline. If you do, it will cost extra.
Shipping:
I don’t [currently] offer prints nor ship art pieces, but if you wish for either of those options, then let me know, and we can discuss.
Rights to the Image:
I retain the full copyright to the image. However, if you want me to keep your commission private/offline, I will honor that (as long as you do not post it publicly on your own account; if you post it, I may also post it).
If you do not tell me whether or not you want your commission private, my default will be to post it to my art sites (Deviantart, Weasyl, Furaffinity, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). I will never sell prints of your commission. You may post your commissioned artwork on the Internet, but you may not sell prints of the image or any derivatives thereof, and you may not use it for commercial purposes (for instance, as a logo, a website layout, a book cover, etc), unless previously agreed upon.
In order for you to sell prints of the image or use it for commercial purposes, you will need to buy the rights from me; if you wish to do so, please let me know and we can negotiate a price.
Refunds:
If you wish to terminate a commission at any time, or if I need to terminate the commission at any time, I will refund you only for work that I have not yet done. For instance, if you originally ordered a colored headshot sketch, and then decided after I was done with the sketch that you no longer wanted the commission, I would refund you the price of the coloring since I had already done the sketch, which is listed in my commission prices.
I have many things in life that keep me constantly busy, so I don’t have ample time to do artwork. So if I’m taking too long, you may ask for a refund.
Note: if you need a commission done by a deadline, be sure to let me know, at least a month in advance so I can set aside some time for it
